TRONOX Completes Acquisition of Cost.
Tronox completed the acquisition of Koster on April 10, 2019.
The transformative combination has created the world’s largest vertically integrated titanium dioxide manufacturer.。
On April 10, 2019, /PRNewswire/ Tronox Holdings plc (NYSE: TROX), a global mining and inorganic chemicals company, announced the completion of its acquisition of the titanium dioxide (TiO₂) business of National Titanium Dioxide Company (Koster). The U.S. Federal Trade Commission issued an order and decision today allowing the transaction to proceed with the divestiture of Koster's North American titanium dioxide business. This asset divestiture transaction is scheduled to be completed by May 1, 2019. Previously announced divestiture of the 8120 paper laminate product line to Venator Materials PLC (NYSE: VNTR), which was approved by the European Commission in August 2018, is expected to be completed soon.
